Wetherby Kensington launches its School Council!

Wetherby Kensington School Council provides an excellent opportunity for boys to voice their ideas and opinions with their peers and teachers. The School Council meets with Miss Sheldon once every half term to share the suggestions made by their class.

The School Council will work on exciting changes and additions to life at Wetherby Kensington in areas such as lunchtimes, playtimes, lessons, special events and school trips. They feedback to the rest of the school in their classrooms or during assemblies.

Boys in Years 1 and 2 (Year 3 will also participate next year) are invited to make a short presentation to their class if they would like to be a School Council representative. The class then votes anonymously to nominate their representative.  Reception boys are selected by their teacher and join the School Council in the Summer Term.

Minutes from each meeting are circulated to staff and discussed by the Headmistress and the Senior Leadership Team, and will also be posted on the website.

Watch this space for exciting future School Council projects!
