School Life

Wetherby Kensington welcomes boys from Reception to Year 3. The school opened in September 2017 with two Reception and Year 1 classes and will grow organically into a further two Year 2 and 3 classes. Wetherby Kensington is composed of a Lower School  (Reception and Year 1) and Upper School (Year 2 and Year 3). Classes are named after the year group and class teacher’s initial.

As with Wetherby School, the ethos of Wetherby Kensington is to ‘Care, share and be fair’.  While the entire school community is held to high expectations, positive achievement is always acknowledged and rewarded. Boys who demonstrate exemplary manners, behaviour and respect for each other can aspire to Headmistress’s awards, special mentions and Wetherby stars. Each boy wears the Wetherby uniform with pride, over time understanding the responsibility of being a Wetherby Ambassador both in and out of school. A rosette is presented in assembly to the class which met the school’s weekly target, often based on Wetherby’ s Golden Rules. Furthermore, our Learning for Life (PSHEE) curriculum reinforces good attitudes and behaviours from Reception through to Year 3.

By the end of their time at Wetherby Kensington, boys come to appreciate how co-operation, respect for each other and for our environment bring harmony and happiness to any community.
