Wetherby Kensington actively participates in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea’s School Travel Plan scheme. This aims to support school communities in finding alternative ways to travel, such as walking, cycling, scooting and using public transport. Kensington and Chelsea have worked with Transport for London to create a STARS scheme, which provides a platform for schools to develop their own travel plan. STARS stands for Sustainable Travel: Active, Responsible, Safe; and is designed to promote and encourage sustainable travel to and from school.
Wetherby Kensington achieved the bronze award last year and are working to do build on this award throughout the year.
