New Houses at Wetherby Kensington

Since the opening in 2017, Miss Milnes has always wanted our first ever boys to play a vital part in laying the foundations of the history of our school. What a special thing it is to be part of a new establishment such as Wetherby Kensington; setting traditions and laying the path for many boys ahead of them.

The naming of the school Houses is always something we had planned for when we were a full school, and in the academic year 2019-20, we had boys in Reception all the way up to Year 3. All boys were given the opportunity to put forward ideas for the names of the Houses, as well as a reason for their choice. The boys then voted on a final decision. I am thrilled to announce that the names of the school Houses at Wetherby Kensington are as follows:

  • Hyde House (previously Yellow House)
  • Holland House (previously Red House)
  • Regent House (previously Green House)
  • Richmond House (Previously Blue House)

Naming the Houses after historic parks around London seemed a perfect choice for us as a school; not only are they enjoyed by all, but themes of community, growth and freedom come to mind. Please do take a look at the new House board when you are next in school.
